I can see that with a younger child for sure.

My now 16 has loved ours for the past 6 years.

He’s still a toddler. Covers his eyes from the wind, and even with the windows up, he still gets some wind.
Around town the car is ok.
On long trips, we have to pack and plan carefully to save space.
Wife and I like the top down, but we hardly get out alone.

It’s a great car. Top mechanics always fascinate people who ask how it works, but it’s not too practical and is parked most of the time.

To anyone with a lowered e93....

How is your ride quality? I'm on Bilstein B8's with H&R sport springs. Wheels/tires are 18x8.5 245/40 Fr and 18x9.5 255/35 rear. My ride quality is utter shit on bumpy/rough roads, like almost unbearable at times.

Hi,
I have the KW V3 its pretty lowered on 19" ride was a little rough at first i had the KW setting no to soft and not hard rolling with soft Michelin tires seems okay nothing to go on road trip but still have to be carful not to scratch the front bumper, Specially we have sh**y roads here were im at 🤦🏻*♂️

But tell you the truth it feels much much better on turns comparing to stock M suspension

I love the way the car looks and reallllly love the way it handles. But I'm almost embarrassed when I have a girl in the car, everything rattles and rides super rough. Uve thought about the KW's but that's a bit to much money for me.

Im also on H&R and M sport suspension.
Zero issues and I took off the preload on front sway bar.
Hopefully you got the right springs, they are E93 specific.

I know what you mean about the rattle specially this was the first aluminum convertible top for BMW on 3 series as far as my knowledge all previous convertibles were now like these. I tries this lubricant from BMW 0 309 627 and it worked perfect for me, i hope it works for you as well 😉

Yes exactly your rite the e92 and e93 use different rear suspension system which is due to the convertible weight in rear

I bought the springs used off a member here who said they were for an e93, hopefully he was right. For one, I didn't replace the front strut mounts when I installed the Bilsteins, the car had less than 30K miles on when I did it. But I do have some new ones on the way from FCP euro, it also dosent help that my front control arm bushings are shot, I have brand new M3 control arms, just haven't installed them yet.

Thats cool obviously the m3 control arm are better then the regular 3 series haven't done this on e9X but i had a e46 sedan project that i converted everything to e46 M3 and i remember the m3 front and rear stick out a little bit which the m3 fenders always covers that comparing to non M3's. just make sure you have all the parts you need for that project

Too much power is not fun when you start breaking things.
