Depends on how much you are willing and able to spend. Just a spring set will lower the car however I'm not sure how well lowered springs and stock shocks work - so you should get some new shocks too! Or if you can spend a bit more then go for a coilover set.

I recommand KW series suspension kit or PSS 9 or 10 for you. Those kits are known as the best performance suspension system for BMW. But they are very costly. If you are not very much concern about suspension performance, I recommand you Koni FSD dampers with Ibach springs set up. This kit will give you more comfort driving with bigger rims and will give your car nice drop with relatively less expensive price than KW series and PSS series (Bilstein).

I agree. That was my point. Why do tons of people like cars that are slammed to the ground. I don't understand the reasoning why every car has to be lowered when they get new wheels? I don't like the monster truck look or the lowered mini-truck. There's probably a recommended height for different applications - track, normal driving (pot aware), and show.

e90lover has suggested well. You're probably better off going for the koni/eibach combo - tried and tested by many. I can't say much more though I'm just running on the sports suspension, it's low enough for me.

Great looking wheels...love the look
To be honest, the coilover options for the xi suck. H&R's ride harsh and could rust if not treated properly every year. KW's have reliability issues. Go with H&R Sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks. |

Side profile showing spacing from fenders.. I think stock suspension would look good! I don't want to lower it anymore than .5 inches in the front stock sport suspension would be perfect with .6 inch drop
