Official DC Metro 2007 BMW Fall Grand Meet @ Great Falls Oct 21/07

lets say there is over 150 cars, will those people simply not be able to come? or can we accommodate them? I would love to invite m3forum and e46fanatics, but I won't do that unless its okay with you guys. Is it safe to invite them, but say we can't guarantee them goodie bags, etc.. ?

The organizing committee were just discussing that...we would love to accomodate all the past participants. The problem with this meet is not the giftbags/food etc but the Passport venue capacity. All parties involved would love to maximize the number but we feel that the passport venue can only hold x amount of cars effectively and comfortably. We'd like to maintain certain standards for our community

Passport has offered the use of their mostly constructed new premises but we haven't confirmed the suitability of that venue. Until then, we're banking on their exisiting venue (the same as last year's).

Whats up guys. Just got my e92 335 on Friday and am loving everyday I get to drive it. Count me in for the Fall meet. I'm definitly looking to meet some of you all before then though so hopefully I will see some of you at the mini-meets I see happening every so often.

cool, I am waiting on your answers, when I had initially in visioned this while talking to Al, I thought of it as a meet that could rival bimmerfest..there meet is huge and it really brings in a diverse crowd of bmw's owners. If there are over x number of participants would it be possible to do an initial/maybe morning meet at towson for the primarily e90 crowd which would get seniority, then have a rally point with a larger venue later in the day to accommodate maybe 150+ cars.. perhaps I am thinking to big.. I just recall seeing pictures from bimmerfest and it would be amazing to pull together a meet like that.

As mentioned eventhough we have done this meet with some success, the upcoming Oct meet is still a pilot project as we're involving multiple sponsors and communities.

Every small thing we do for this meet will go a long way into making bimmerfest east a reality in the year to come. As mentioned, Passport is a keen supporter and they're envisioning full use of their 4 storey 400+ capacity structure one fine day

Yep, basically its important for us to keep the momentum going to achieve our community goals...we'll get there, together
