After market brake pad noise

Got the Hawk street race pads and they squeak like a train trying to stop, is there any way I can make them sound like a 1988 Corolla that hasn't changed its brake pads every or? These things legit wake up my neighbors every day

Assuming you put brake quiet on the back of the pads it may be an inherent characteristic of the pad.

Swap them out for Hawk HPS or Hawk 5.0, I've used both for many years on various platforms including this one, no noise.

Just finished a set of those, wanted a little bit more stopping power. Going to buy this heavy duty ceramic brake quiet and marinate the pads in it

The only other aggressive pad I used from Hawk was HP+. They only squeaked cold and at low speed.

Anything more aggressive will likely squeak for typical street driving.

Wish I could show you how loud these actually sound. These pads are louder than the exhaust

After 15k miles my hawk HPS pads have a tiny little squeak when i apply pressure at a low speed. goes away when I push harder. No noise at higher speeds. I think it is because it is depositing brake dust on the rotor.
