Help with 325d remap please.

Hi all, I am searching for some of your excellent wisdom here if you wouldn’t mind.

I have my 56 plate 325d booked in for a remap here in Plymouth but was wondering if you guys would recommend any additional (sensibly priced) modifications to do whilst it’s there?. DPF removal, EGR delete, Exhausts etc.

Any suggestions would be handsome 👍

Don't delete the DPF, the new mot rules change in May will include a smoke test, any visible smoke when they increase the revs will be a fail. Don't believe anyone who tells you it won't smoke without one it will even if it's just minor.

You can still make good power with the DPF. I mapped mine 6 months ago and looking at the ash mass with Carley it's hardly increased at all. Certainly less than it was increasing when I had a plug in box.

One thing I did do was to have the EGR mapped out, improves throttle response and keeps the inlet side clean. Not worried about the mot for that. If it causes an issue, I did a bluefin map so can revert back to standard map for the MOT of need be.

Thanks for the input guys. I took your advice and just went for the straight remap.

What a transformation. I gained 92 BHP over stock and an extra 74 lbft Torque. Over the moon, highly recommend to anyone. Massive thanks to the guys at RH Tuning, top results. 👍😀🍻

seems a lot for the early 325d cars,,i know the later lci (204 bhp) map to 330d mapped figures as they are the same engine and turbo/injectors..bur the earlier cars like yours had differing bits which kept power down and not just a detune

The differing bits were only the injectors!! The 325d used smaller tipped injectors. Had the same turbo, lump etc as 330d, bar map and injectors. ( Also on manual it had no swirl flaps
