That's right, no other way to do it as far as I know. It's not as bad as I was expecting, but definitely took some time. Remove all pillars, the front upper light console, sun shades, grab handles, rear net mounts and the 5 screws along the front of the sunroof from the outside. After that it will pretty much come down on its own. The rails only have three bolts each, kinda hard to get to the front and rears, but the middle ones are easy. I actually still have my headliner down because I'm troubleshooting a panoramic roof issue and was toying with the idea of cutting holes where the bolts are for easy access if I ever wanted to remove them again. I would 3D print little covers for them so it didn't look hacked.

Anymore photos of your e91 or a build thread by chance?

No build thread, but I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to start one. Just picked up the wagon last August and have lots of plans for it! In the meantime you can see progress on my Instagram @LakeshoreBimmers.

Nice, I have a TiAg e91 as well... looking to do the mtech front end as well soon. where did you end up sourcing all your parts?

I Like the vinyl on the roof. I've been contemplating this as well. Yours turned out great, not sure I have the patience, but I'm going to wrap some trim here and depending on how it turns out I might attempt it. Love the way it looks on TiAg and AW.

What are your wheel specs for the e46 m3 19s? Do you have anymore photos?

- Did you go square setup?
- Are you lowered?
- What is your tire size?
- Are you running spacers?

Everyone wants what they don't have, go figure! My '11 came as a rail delete and I want the high rails for a more wagon-ey look.

I saved the attached PDF a while back which may be of some help to those doing a rail swap one way or another. The pictures are a tad better than the TIS diagrams.

Square setup 9.5"
245/40/19 & 275/35/19
No Spacers

Stock suspension, rubs a bit bit will be fixing that soon with new suspension and complete rear end rebuild with adjustable arms, and slight pull on the panels to eliminate the rubbing.
