I'm sure you will do much better getting logs to Mr. BRR... I failed miserably at logging.

Me three. There's no good logging software sadly. What's out there either doesn't log numerical data, doesn't log anything of interest to diesel heads, or just plain sucks because it's too hard to use. It's a shame no one can make decent logging software for these cars.

I'm suppose to be installing testo but I have no computer kills whatsoever on downloading it lol. Something simpler would be nice. I agree

Lol.. I work in IT and Testo is like a damn riddle. Shit is all in German and you have configure profiles, then pick parameters, then you have make it talk to the car.. all while the moon is perfectly aligned with Saturn and Venus at the same time.. go figure.. Germans making things complicated... imagine that.

Guys, i use testo for logs. Its not complicated. Derek (DWR) as instruct me how to use it and it works great. I'm sure Ryan(@BRR) can set you up with it.
For best results, use your wife(what i did ) or whatever co-pilot you can found to press the button while you press the pedal.

Hey "trem" in post #29 I just noticed you added an additional drain for the turbo, not sure if this was discussed before or not, did you drop the pan to do this? And if yes how hard was this?

Yes i did.
It was needed due to the new turbo sitting lower than the original. As for the pan removal, i had the motor on the bench, so cannot say with the motor sitting in the car.

Pauter makes them on demand. They have all the measurments for them. No need to send a rod.
Small update. Bit of stiffening up

Nice build man! What rail pressure sensor did you use? Did you have to make modifications in order to make it fit?
I'm pretty curious why you didn't go with the m550d sensor. That one can read up to 2600 or 2700 bars...i can't remember exactly. |
