My car does not recognise the USB drive.

So these Nav files are not compatible with my car? Sorry I'm completely new to BMW and only just got my car. I love the car though! Just having a few problems with the connected drive and getting these maps updated cheaply. |

Check through posts on 2018-1 or 2018-2 map threads, there were links to everything you need to create yourself without using that generator

Sorry for being a bit (read a lot) thick but would this be of use to my car? It’s a 2006 but has been retro fitted with cic and has a usb cable dangling in the glovebox, no dvd drive and a usb under the armrest. The maps are currently 2014.
All that’s assuming I’d even have the knowledge to be able to download then upload to the car with 1 memory stick! Might need an idiots guide on that one |

I'm having some problems getting started with this.
On my new USB I have the maps: D: -<Maps 2019-1> (top level) -<3USB> (2nd level) -<USB1> (3rd level) -<USB2> (3rd level) -<USB3> (3rd level) But I'm first trying to get the 1b file on my memory stick. I've put the ignition on, waited until the nav loads up and plug the memory stick in. Waited a little while (more than 30 secs), pulled out but nothing has appeared on the stick. I've tried this with two different USB's now, same result...? |

guys
bit of a desperate plea, it seems like my 2009 car won't update via USB and I've bought dual layer discs (verbatim) and unfortuantely I can't get them to burn reliably. I managed disc 1 out of 3 but could not convince it to burn any more. would someone be willing to send me 3 DVDs via post so that I can do this update, I'm more than willing to cover whatever costs anyone wants. thanks in advance CJ |

I just bought five verbatim discs from ebay, one burned ok the other 4 didn't want to play so I'm not sure it'd be worth sending those.
I was hoping someone had burned a set off and updated their car already and could afford to let the discs go. I'm guessing here that there would never be reason to reflash the system again. |

Just looked on ebay and they’re about £1 / disc. |
