My 325d LCI E90 Bluewater Build Thread (Pics)
Hi all,
I've been a member for a while and found the site very useful but never posted, I thought it was about time. I Purchased my 5th BMW and 3rd E9x a couple of weeks ago. She's a 2010 325d LCI M Sport Auto in Bluewater Metallic with a good spec: - Auto - Flappy Paddles - Bi Xenon - Adaptive Headlights - Auto Headlights - Auto Main Beam - Auto Wipers - Electric Folding Mirrors - CIC Pro Navigation (2016 Maps) - BMW Individual Sound System - USB in Armrest (6FL) - Cruise Control with Brake Assist - Heated Oyster Leather Seats - Rear Privacy Glass I love the Individual sound system, it's the nuts compared the the basic setup in my first E90 and the Alpine retrofit kit I had in my E92. Really pleased with the car so far and glad to be back with a 6 cylinder again, although this is my first diesel 6. Had a 3.0 Z4 and a 2.8 E39 (best built car I've ever owned) in the past. Hadn't really planned on doing anything to the car but can't resist modding. I have plans for the following: - Carbon wrap aluminium trims (Done) - Gloss black grill (Done) - De-badge rear (Done) - LED Angel eye bulbs (Done) - LED Cornering bulbs - LED Interior bulbs - Remove phone prep in arm rest (Done) - Add privacy glass up front (Done) - 19" CSL reps (can't decide on colour) - Subtle lowering - Rear boot lip I will keep this updated as my build thread. Anyway here are some pics of her and a couple of my previous two E9x's. My 320d M Sport E92 My 320d M Sport E90 Last edited by B3NPM; 01-15-2016 at 10:34 AM.. |

Making some progress on the tints today, decided to darken the rears whilst doing the fronts as it was hard to match the factory shade. So went with same shade for all windows meaning the rear would look a little darker than the fronts.
Forgot how much work it can be if your not a pro (which I am not) Last edited by B3NPM; 01-10-2016 at 02:22 PM.. |

I don't own all three now, the two grey ones were previous cars.
If you mean why have i owned three then the answer is i have just found nothing that quite fits what i want in a car and my budget quite like an E90.

Finally got the spare set of trims I bought wrapped in black carbon, the silver was ok but much prefer the two tones to the interior now instead of three.

Great looking car mate, I see you are similar to myself in the fact that you keep buying e90s you really can't beat them when it comes to bang for your buck i find.
The interior looks miles better without the silver trim, the carbon really goes well with the light seats ! I have been doing a little carbon wrapping on my interior as well, Done Mines carbon and gloss black. Here is my build thread if you fancy a look http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1190154&page=2

Had a read of your thread a few weeks back. Nice looking motor, thought about wrapping my car but don't want to pay someone to do it but also don't want to waste a fortune on wrap to then balls it up.
Totally agree with the bang for your buck theory. Looked at so many cars before getting my third E90

Got my Adaptive headlights failure sorted. Had to fit and code a replacement SMC after one got fried due to water in the headlight. Here's the old module and the water that came out if it.
Whilst I had the wheels off and arch liners I also fitted some LED Angel eyes.

I think the new trims look well on your car with the light interior, oddly enough I have the gloss black but would like to change to the Silver / Alu trims to brighten the interior up
Where yours the Hex trim or Brushed Alu? |

Did a couple of small jobs today.
First I removed the phone prep cradle in the armrest and fitted the simple tray. Could hear my iPod constantly sliding around before. Then Coded a couple of things, first was to add Auto light sensitivity settings to BC Menu. Next up was Acoustic lock/unlock option in CIC iDrive menu And finally, Day/Night/Automatic mode for Navigation, not sure how the auto setting works yet though, as in if lights are on or off, time of day, light sensor. If anyone knows that would be great.
