I've heard that the 2010 3-series has the sirius satellite radio built into the head unit rather than with a seperate module. Would it work to take a 2010 head unit and swap it in? My car is out of warranty and I have dead pixels in the head unit, so I might be replacing my head unit anyways, I'm just curious as to whether I could get Sirius with a new head unit. Would my bluetooth still work? If it makes any difference, I've got a 2006 325i with the "professional" stereo and no navi.

It should work with all E9x regardless of MY, unless BMW has made this particular unit part of the Vehicle Order.

There's no official retrofit yet, though. And the price of the unit, plus the FSC codes to activate it, the Sirius antenna and installation will be in the $1500-$1600, FYI.
