Reversible Rim Paint, Black 193M
I want to paint my rims black, i have the bmw 193m wheels but I'm not sure how it would look. Does anyone have a picture of these in black? is there any temporary paint that I can put on and remove easily just to get a feel for it?

Plasti-dip is very easily removed, as long as there is an even coat. But your wheels will look matte black with a rubbery texture.

hey hey, seems like black 193Ms are becoming more popular!
you lose a lot of the detail of the wheel when going black. but here are mine anyway clearly the second shot was taken by a photographer, the others are just my point and shoot so it looks a bit underwhelming. Last edited by sbce90; 08-17-2010 at 09:00 PM.. |

flat black eh.. gloss looks a million bucks! plus, give it a couple of days and they look flat black once dust builds up so you get the best of both worlds. ill take some dirty pictures and post them if you want. (i dont have my car atm though.) cost for me was 175 aud per wheel (so 700) because i got 4 done at the same time. Properly sanded back, painted, baked in oven etc..

There is a member on here from florida with an AW LCI e90 M-sport. I dont remember his name on here but i remember his AW M3 lip spoiler got jacked by some punks in his neighborhood and he replaced it with a gloss black lip to match. there are a few from florida that are really nice. dose anyone know who im thinking of?

I know it sounds crazy but I have seen it done as a temporary measure: vinyl wrap it.
It will not last long but if its purely to see how it looks it will work. |

$700 to paint them?
I rather used that $700 and get some black colored aftermarket rims

You could use Duplicolor CarArt paint...it washes off with soap+water

AUD$700 remember, but given current exhange rates its still similar. Roads in Sydney are horrendous so I didn't want ot go down the route of cheap wheels which will get bent easily.
