BMW Search
Ok so I have a question for anyone with a 2009-2010 with the BMW Search feature. I've had my car since 12/28/09 and have the I-Drive, when I picked up the car I tried playing around with the BMW Assist menu and saw the BMW Search feature. When I selected it, it told me I needed the Convience plan in order to use the feature. I never paid the $199 for it. Well I just was playing around again over the weekend and noticed that when I go to it again, I am able to now use BMW Search and access the features that require the convience plan. I did call them and asked if they were doing a free trial period and they said no. So I guess I'm getting it for free. Anyone else notice this, or am I the only one?

There have been multiple other posts on other forums about people suddenly getting the convenience plan for free. This also coincides with some updates (such as being able to see and in some cases hear news headlines), and also conincides with an upcoming Nav release.
Unless BMW has changed their policy, this likely is simply an error on BMW NAs programming - and I imagine that it will be "corrected" some time shortly. |
