Navigation works some of the time :/

Not sure if anyone has had this problem or not. I just purchased my 08 335i. When i start the car the navagation sometimes works and other times dosent load. I take the DVD disk out and reinsert it and it will sometimes fix the problem. The DVD is the one that came with the car new. Not sure if its cause i need to update to a newer DVD or not. Any help would be great.

It looks like your CCC is dying. Probably it's time to upgrade to CIC system.

Sorry but i dont know the diffrence between CCC and CIC...

Ok found your thread about CIC. That is out of my budget at the moment. I have warranty on the car so it looks like im just going to make them fix it.

search for the latest CCC nav dvd (some people have shared it online), burn it, and try that first.

years ago in my 08, I had the same problems with my Navi. The dealer tried putting in new discs and firmware, unfortunately it didn't work and traded my car in shortly after.

I had same problem. New DVD not help me. I buy new CIC and am much happy - it work goood, no problem!
