Hi All,

So I finally got around to removing the injectors and valve cover and the car seems to be running fine! Although I would have liked to use an ultrasonic cleaner on my injector nozzles I didn't have enough time wait for delivery so I just saturated a microfibre cloth in Reddex Diesel Cleaner and wiped the tips, I'm not sure whether this made any improvements but all of the built up carbon come off the tips.

NewTis Guides and Torque (After Intake Manifold Removal)

Leakage Oil Line (I lifted "lock 2" in the second illustration on all lines by pushing a thin flathead screwdriver just under the white cap, each cap just slides up and removed all in around 10 seconds):

One thing I didn't see on NewTis that prevented me from pulling the Cylinder Head Cover off is an E Torx screw that is screwed into the back left side (back as in closest to the windscreen) of the cylinder head cover holding a wire cable in place. I took this video to show which one it is.

looking forward to cleaning my injectors, hopefully the ones I am concerned about will show lots of cakes on carbon.

that torx bolt holding on that wire - is it easy to access from above, or will i need o remove all the undertrays?

Thanks, it took quite a while to figure things out which I thought would be good to to share like searching for an “M57 Injector Puller" was so much money but then I found out the thread size was M14 and then I could find really cheap ones.

But anyway that torx bolt is a nightmare! It's at the very back and you can't really see it. If I'm not mistiane though that etorx bolt holds a bracket to the valve cover, and a pipe is then clipped onto it but I'm pretty sure you can remove the pipe from the clip rather than removing the bracket but as you'll see yourself it's near impossible to see anything.
