Software upgrade with Vishnu

Hi, guys.

Do I need to remove my Vishnu Rev2 before dealer updates vehicle software? A dealer called on Friday and told that my software needed updating as it hasn't been updated since the car was built. A dealer asked if they can update and if I don't need to remove the piggyback. And I have no clue...

You don't even need to run map0 if you are doing a standard DME software update. Since that is done with the engine not running, the Procede is essentially deactivated. So you can update the DME as is. No harm in running map0 or turning off CANclear. It's just not necessary.

Thanks, Shiv. But the ignition will be on (dealer just told that). Is it ok? No need to switch to Map0 and turn CANclear off?

Ignition has to be ON to flash , if you read the post says ENGINE ON is active
