Bilstein B16 PSS10 thoughts

Being tempted by the coilover route and after extensive searching settled on the pss10s. However I'm stuck between the standard and comfort versions. Standard lowers 30-50mm and has firmer springs, comfort drops 20-40mm with softer springs.

E92 owners, is the standard version too much of a drop on uk roads? Have searched loads and read plenty of reviews from owners in the states, some appear to comment about the extreme drop at max height, others not.

Ideally I want the firmer spring rate, but not an extreme drop, uk owners

Garage List
I don’t have coil overs but am running a 40mm drop, rides a bit harsh with 19”s & I do have to creep over speed humps.
I did recently consider a suspension refresh & changing to ST AX, that kit seemed like good value at £800 for adjustable ride height & dampening but after an inspection my shocks/suspension was all good so I didn’t bother

Yeah I looked at the ST kits, made by KW just without the inox line body. They are indeed good value.

I don't daily my car but at the same time don't want to get caught out by an over zealous speed bump or just general crap on the road.

I’m running Ohlins R&T’s and have to say they are superb even on 19’s and our crappy roads. Absorbs really well and damper adjustable as you’d expect so can firm them up or soften then but I’m running then at just over half stiffness and still all good.

I ran these coilovers on my Focus RS and can't fault them. That ran 19's and the ride was gleaming. Obviously got damping adjustment so you can set the ride to be as comfortable or stiff as you want. Completely transformed the car.

Ended up going with KW v2, they seem to offer a more subtle drop so will see how it looks when they land. The stainless steel bodies should offer good protection too.

I'll hopefully be saying goodbye to some of that body roll!
