Can you PM me your price for walnut blasting? And at what mileage do you recommend it? I have seen a lot of varying answers.

Where are you located, & what would you charge for a brake service (F&R rotors, pads, SD lines, etc)?

I am going to need some work done come spring time. I am in southern WA and don't think I will be taking the car across the mountains until it thaws out.

From listening to the car it sounds like I need a valve adjustment, have a little ticking at idle/low RPM. Definitely want to do a walnut blast at that time.

BMWs (except for M3) have not had adjustable valves for 25 years.

The ticking you hear is either a bit of normal valve ticking (although it could be a sign of low oil pressure that is causing the lifters to tick a bit), or it is the electronic ticking of the direct injection fuel injectors.

Wanted to mention Daniel came by to replace my 02 sensor on my N55 with a universal Bosh Sensor. Great guy, awesome work and highly recommended.

That is very interesting, that would have been an interesting lesson to learn! I am new to the n54. It could be an injector, it is not a concerning noise, but it is noticable next to another 335i.

Helping a buddy on his e30 tonight do a vavle adjustment tonight actually. haha.

The M20 engine in the E30 was the last engine (along with the M30) that needed valve adjustment. The M50, which came in mid-cycle in the E34 5-series and at the beginning of the E36 3-series, and all the V8 engines have hydraulic lifters. Even recent S-engines have hydraulic lifters.
