What about late model N52s, surely it's not only the N51 that is exempt from this issue? I wonder what they did to remedy it, possibly different lifter design? N51 and N52 are nearly the same engine.

N52 engines produced after 12/2008 have a different head design. I know for one thing the cam ledge seals are different.

That’s possible...if he had an n54 he might be surprised that the fuel injecors make it sound like a diesel...I know I was the first time I started it...
