Paddles not working after M Sports Steering Wheel Swap
Hey guys, and girls,
I have a 2008 e90 335 that came with the standard sport steering wheel with paddles. I love the M Steering Wheel and found one from a wrecking garage with paddles and did the swap. Everything works except the paddles. It came from an e88 2008 135. Looking at the part numbers that are all the same except I have some confusion on the Multifunction Switch part numbers: M Sports Steering Wheel with Paddles the same part S7XAA – http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=32_1635 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=32_1635 MF Switch – same part number - 61319125344 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_1880 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...80#61319125344 However, my vehicle came standard with the S2XAA sports wheel with paddles which says the MF is this part - 61319123286: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_1880 Paddles part is the same – 61319225042 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_2639 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_2639 So the only question is if my car is looking for a different MF switch wiring that what comes with the S7XAA wheel. So could 61319123286 but different wiring than the 61319125344 which is the part number on my new one? The setup between the paddles to the MF are the 3 black wires to the connectors. I have also check the continuity with a multi meter and all looks good so I know the paddles are sending a signal. Unfortunately I do know have the original steering wheel either Any thoughts or suggestions? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance |
