Tint shop in Ashburn area

Hi all,

I'm looking to get my car tinted finally. Does anyone know a good reliable tint shop in the Ashburn area? I commute there so wanted the car done while I was at work.

LA Tint in Sterling off of Shaw Rd does a great job. Very happy with the job they did on my car. I went with the 35% tint all the way around.....not legal (50% required on front windows) but looks nice.

Excellent. Yeah I'm wanting to do 35 all around as well. Do you remember by chance how much it cost you? Just trying to get a rough estimate. And also, did you need the moleskin to be installed?

Man...I see nice cars around Reston with 20% tint in all the way around except windshield. If cops are picky, I wouldn't be seeing that much.

I wanna say $220 - $250, but don't quote me on that....yeah, I believe the moleskin was installed as well.

I wouldn't push it. I have a friend with an E92 M3 with 20% and he gets pulled over quite a bit for it.

I was questioned on my in January and failed when he put the tint measure equipment on my window...but let me off.

I got tinted AT the same LA Tint location. I believe I was quoted around $150, but when I actually paid it was around $220/250 as well. 35% all around and the vinyl strip on the dot matrix. Came out pretty well.

Yeah that sounds reasonable to me. I have one more question. Which tint type did you chose? My concern is that I see many tinted cars where the film has a slight green color to it but I want something that is black.

Sorry not too familiar with this subject...

Depending where you are, you can take a look at mine to see if you like the tint they use. I work in the Sterling/Ashburn area and live in Arlington/Ballston. But it is charcoal/black, def not green.

I would have to dig out my paper work, but it was the mid to upper grade tint....def not green at all. Charcoal like Superhiro's.

I live in Ashburn and work in Sterling if you ever want to see it.

BigDaddyCane and I probably have the same film. Their top tier was like $300+, so I went with mid to upper grade tint as well.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate all the input. I don't need to see it, I trust in y'alls judgement on the color. Yea the charcoal is what I'm looking for. I will probably get an appointment in the beginning of June and will report back how it goes. Thanks again!!

So I contacted the Sterling shop and they have Pinnacle and the Comfort series. Does anyone know which one you got?

I just checked my paperwork and its the Comfort series. It has a lifetime, transferable warranty.

just so you know, the pic in my autosig was NOT taken when I had the tint done.
