So I've just brought a 12 plate (2011 build) n55 335i m sport plus auto.
I've tried to use the launch control bit to no avail.
Drive the car around for about 10 miles.
Come to a stop.
Foot on brake.
One tap the DSC button.
Auto stick in s/m.
M1 selected.
Floor the accelerator pedal.
I get no checkered flag in dash board and it just tried to pull a little against the brake and the revs only climb by a few hundred.
What am I doing wrong. Am I retarded

Just move shifter to left so yes you want it to be in s1 at a stop then make sure you are in sport plus if available on your car and push brake down all way then press gas pedal to floor and depress kickdown button

It needs to be one push of DTC button, sport button on, foot on brake, gear in M1, quickly punch pedal to the floor, rpms will settle at 5k, release the brake.

Keep in mind, car won't let you unless oil temps are up to operating temperature and that can take time depending on where you live.
