I'll be on a Dyno Sunday and wanted to revisit the gearing. I posted the question on what gear to run in the BMW Duel Cluth Trasnmission Tech group on facebook and the general consensus is that it really does not matter the ratio, but what speed the Dyno is capable of.
so a 5th gear pull is fine. I will just tell him the ratio for 5th is 1.390

Hey guys, I'm back (from page 280) - I've finally had a couple days to get some work done. LEDs removed successfully, had to take the bumper off to do so but 1000% worth it.

I also fixed the plastidip badging and while I think it looks much better, it's likely going to eventually peel all the same, at that time I'll opt for replacing the badges with matte black versions. I still need to tidy up the micro specs so don't poke fun, it was my first time.

Currently working on the CF spoiler repairs, which (likely the same owner who did the above) adhered it to the trunk with f[%#ing tar style adhesive and sticky tape. I cannot for the life of me get this off the trunk without physically harming the clear coat and maybe paint. If anyone has any tips that would be appreciated, I tried soaking with goo gone, then tried taping off and using goof off and a plastic blades scraper, no dice. Makes me sad but would be covered by the spoiler again I guess.

Anyways, for the photos:

Anybody else anxiously waiting for that cooler Fall air to come sooner so our car's can unleash more potential that is limited from heat soak? My IATs are always around +10 to +15 degrees from ambient temps and being FL 95 degrees is the norm for a summer day. However, once temps drop to the 50s sometimes 40s (FL winters) I can't wait for 50-60 degree IATs and see how she pulls. This will be my first Fall/Winter being FBO, with inlets, and E85 tuned.

I am since every time I go to the track it's 85+ out and my times are just okay.
Did 12.02 last Saturday but I know with good temps I can get around 11.5

Do you guys have water leaks from your 335is's? Ive had my 2011 for 2 months now and it leaks alot of water, even when im not running the AC. Its kind of embarassing how much it pees on the ground when I park. Mechanic says nothings wrong with the car, but "it just leaks".

I have never "leaked" water or any other fluid.
It's common on most cars to show a small puddle after running the AC but that's it.

He said it was common for BMWs to leak water even when th AC is off. I just wasn't sure if that is true or not.

lol.. uh no don't think so. Don't use my ac and I don't leak. What does that guy think, you have an infinite water tank somewhere on the car that automatically refills itself after leaking all over?

Do you have a coupe or convertible? I've heard of the convertibles having this issue, usually by the rear wheels. There should be more information regarding it elsewhere on the forum.

I have a coupe non convertible. The leak is under the engine. It's a clear liquid with no odor, maybe it's something else? I don't even know.

FINALLY found me a lovely 2011 BSM 6speed that I was able to purchase. Had it for about a week now and man this thing was worth the 1 year long wait. I just had ceramic coating applied to the paint and will try to get pics up after a tint job,

In the meantime I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade the Idrive software so that it displays album artwork of music stream via bluetooth. Is this possible on the 2011?

Should be able to do it without any updates. I stream my music through Apple music and the album art displays on the 70/30 split view of navi on the left and music on the right.

What are you using to stream to your car?

Bluetooth system the car came with. Works with plugging in the USB cable from your phone into the arm rest area as well.

Grr, wish I had that on mine. How is the sound quality? I wonder if this could be coded.

I use a Tunai Firefly BT dongle plugged into the USB & Aux, works pretty well for music and the car's BT phone still works seamlessly.

It's crystal clear. Only issue I've seen in both 335is's I've owned is that once in a blue moon the BT has a crackle like static that loops every 15-20 secs when a song is playing. I think its a common issue since I've read it with e93 M3 guys too but it goes away if you disconnect and reconnect the phone/device.
