Dual 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust

I have recently had a custom dual 3" stainless steel exhaust fabricated by Men at Work Exhaust at Capalaba in Qld. Mick did an excellent job. The mufflers are angled due to the protruding plastic insert in the boot. I have since modified this by removing the bottom 3" and have booked the car in to have the mufflers repositioned horizontally. The 4 joins use 'V' band clamps which make it easy to dismantle. I have removed the diff since getting this exhaust and it was just a matter of removing the centre section to complete the job. 100cpsi catalytic converters have been installed.

Looks good. Interesting that you went with a dual 3" all the way, rather than a merge collector into a 3-3.5" pipe like the VRSF exhausts. How's the smell on pump fuel with these cats?

No issue with the smell of fuel. The reason I went dual 3" pipes is that there is more horsepower gain than a single 3" pipe as shown by the diagram below.

Thanks Brule. When I get my built engine installed and tuned, I will see if it makes any difference on the strip. Hopefully, the top end speed should improve as well as the turbos should spool quicker. What have you been up to? Any new mods?

Thanks Socks. I will make a video and put it on here. It is ok from inside the car apart from when it is under load at around 1,800rpm and it then gets a bit of a drone. Forum is fairly quiet over the last couple of months for some reason.

No mods.

Car is sitting with no turbo.

I am finishing building 100m2 shed before buying any more car parts.

If your out of turbo it might help get 1 or 2mph.
If not is still a very nice exhaust.

Yep most of the community has turned into P platers and are running around on FB hahaha.... my modding has slowed right down, other then playing around with the car audio side.... I should probably update the build thread

I got the mufflers flattened out today which makes it look heaps better from behind the car.

Thanks Hoper. It gets a bit of a drone between 1,700-1,900rpm which isn't a problem when driving around the city in D. Hopefully, it should improve the performance.
