This is also the newer JBD to i guess cause i only ordered about 3 week ago. car has about 1500 may that be the problem why i cant run it any higher then 85%.
My butt dyno hasn't registered much if any difference running it at either 85% or 100%. According to the dyno graph it's only a 4hp difference between the two settings.

If somebody knows for sure, please chime in. I'll try to dig a little more later.

US never had pre LCI, though. First model year was 2009.

yes but everywhere else in the world did. what difference would that make?

Besides in 2009 is when BMW V8's became turbo'd and started making 450ftlb of torque as well.

i could be wrong, just my guess...didn't the 335d get a bit of a power bump prelci to lci? not too sure, maybe someone over sea's may know better

Early 2009 335d's had the 6HP26TU (technical upgrade - equivalent to a 28 production - I'm a 3/09 build and I think I have the 26TU). Not sure where the cut-off point from 26TU to 28 was, but the only substantive difference between the two, was that the 26TU was an interim upgraded transmission to the same rating as the 28, just not the full production model that the 28 was.

Cheers
D.

The difference it makes is that it depends on where you're from.

Trimmed mine to about 80% based on the original setting and where I turned the dial anyway. I'm going to leave it as is... no CEL's and it will outrun just about anything I choose to run from 'cept maybe, Motorola

Water meth injection works better for diesel than it does for gasoline. Using it to it's fullest in the 335D would be a different discussion.

My mileage is worse, but then again that could be due to how I am driving now. I tend to put the pedal to the metal more often.

Is that calculated MPG or your what your dash is telling you? Just curious as I hear the with the JBD will show much better than actual.

Initial install of the JBD will reflect incorrect MPG until the car becomes accustomed to what the JBD is doing. Give it some time to settle, and then you'll get an accurate readout. The best way to determine your actual gas mileage is to track from tank to tank.

I've got 800 miles on mine and can't wait to chip it. For the cost and what I have read on the forum, you can't beat the JB. I have been chipping diesels since my 95 Ford Powerstroke and never had an issue doing it. I enjoy the passing power, as long as you don't beat on it, your fine. It's the most expensive car I have owned and don't plan on beating on it....too much

Messiah, did you end up pulling the trigger? I am highly tempted, but I definitely have some questions about it....

If you can find someone to help you with the language barrier, Germany is a hotbed of tuners for the d. You don't need to look outside the country you're in!

Edit: More info: try www.pp-performance.de

-and-

look at the second dyno sheet in the first post of this thread for their phone number: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...orming+imports
