Cheap and simple CarPlay display?
I'm am driving a 2007 BMW 325i without iDrive. I don't really miss it; I navigate with my phone en use the 3.5mm cable for music.
The downside of using a phone is the small screen which isn't very useful when driving. So, I would like a bigger screen. The most used option is a eonon android headunit or dynavin. But I think they are to expensive and have a lot options I don't need, like Netflix or setting the temperature via the screen. So what I need is a simple display with a CarPlay dongle to use apple CarPlay in my car. Anyone knows an option to do that? |

Perhaps an older tablet that's tethered your phone using personal hotspot.
i.e., An older iPad mini or Nexus 7" tablet. You can then run the headphone out to your 3.5mm cable. I see many on marktplaats for around 100 euros. If you search these forums there's lots of threads with ideas on how and where to mount the tablet. |
