CIC not booting up - NO SOUND

seems my battery although not dying perhaps dropped a little too low at some point as a result of having ignition on for too long whilst playing around with ncs expert, and also from perhaps not being driven for more than 10 minutes at a time very often.

My cic will now not boot...and i have no sound coming from vehicle including radio etc not seatbelt warning.

My most is not lighting up either.

Have charged the battery, reprogrammed the existing battery, had the battery tested, however it doesnt want to wake up.

Lights on head unit and cic controller both light up when lights switched on.

Can anyone suggest a way to force the wake up of the cic?

I did have an error code which has since not come back (KOMBI A559 - Dashboard voltage has been switched off (standby current cutoff relay))

not sure what else to do...any tips please?

Cheers JC

The IBS may be kicking in if the battery is low.
Try putting a long slow charge on the battery to
see if it will recover first.

Read the first electrical pdf about IBS
You can pull the BSD line from the IBS sensor
to tell if it is causing a problem. The car will go to
default values when it it open.

For no sound conditions check to make sure there is no water on
the amplifier if you have a car with an amplifier first as it is
the most common loss of sound failure.

Beyond that get the K/D can cable and Inpa Ista suites to scan for codes.

If you messed with the coding go to the coding sub forum.

A broken Most Loop will kill all sound in most model years to.

Thanks for reply....have had a look through these previously...

Replaced my battery today with a loan one whilst they diagnose mine...new battery didnt make a difference...

think ill just have to take it to the dealer unfortunately...

Is there a way to test the IBS?

Also following. My car sat for about 2 weeks and I came back to faults for CIC open circuit, and supply voltage faults for DME/DDE and KOMBI. No idrive currently and no cluster lights. Battery was good and as far as I can tell fuses look good. Did anyone find the root of this or know how to fix?

Thanks,

Marsh
