Blown Amp - Coding Necessary?
I have an 07 335 E93. Water got into the trunk and shorted out the amplifier on my Logic7 sound system. Not an uncommon problem, apparently. Am about to buy a replacement amp, but it's unclear whether or not it is plug-and-play, or (like a lot of BMW things) will require coding to work. Does anyone have the definitive answer to this question?

it should just plug in. IIRC the only coding on the amp is the type of car so many might work; but to get the correct sound you might need to code it OR get it from another E93

Most of the time they just work but sometimes it requires a firmware
upgrade see coding sub forum threads. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...gic+7+firmware |
