I thought you want to put on vinyl with a slight soapy solution, so it's easy to adjust if needed, like in this link from this shop?

http://www.viperstripesdirect.com/instructions.php
I went to HD Auto Salon, they have wrapped full cars for MFest, Bimmerfest and SEMA, they wrap whole cars wet, but they vinyl wrap trim, spoilers, diffusers, internal parts dry.

I guess there isnt really a right or wrong way, it just depends on what you are wrapping...

Maybe their soap solution had too much soap.
Yeah they put mine on dry and its lasted thus far. My trim wrap before was matte and that lasted 2 years. They did that dry as well

Im guessing dry is the way to go for shadowlining.

Someone should pick these up asap!!
Yup thats how I found out too haha. They have brand new tires on them right now and I'm driving on them just fine. But my wife gave me crap about it. Saying I should buy new wheels because its not safe, I said oh hell yeah! HRE's lol

She did not need to tell me twice

2009 328i with sport suspension. Swapped springs for H&R Sport, rolled fenders. Running Continental DWS, 255/35/18 rear. No rubbing issues at all.

Wheels are OEM 219M ET29/ET23 custom powder coated black chrome (hyper black).

Absolutely love the ride...
