XI Drop on KW V1s?
Hi,
I am installing KW v1s on my e92 335xi this Friday. I have read a lot that the XIs cannot go as low as rwd e92s. I would like to go relatively low, not slammed, but pretty darn low (was thinking 2 or more inches down). It looks like the KWs may not allow for that from the spec. The car sits like an off-road vehicle now. So my question is, what's the lowest people are going with the XIs? Anyone have photos they can share? Thanks in advance. P.s. I'll get around to doing a proper introduction one of these days. Been hanging around too long not to

You can definitely get as low as you want without rubbing. Doesn't really matter if you have an XI. I would keep in mind that you do live in MA and if you sit really low (lower than a RWD with sport suspension) you will have some issues when snow gets higher than ~5 in. (reason why it sits high in the first place). I can safely say you can get as low as a RWD sport suspension and not have issues with snow as people in Canada drive RWD ZSP 335is all year around.
I might add unless you really want coilovers you're better off with a (used) sport suspension someone on here is selling.

How about optimum ride height? Does anyone have info (or a link to) on that for the e92 XI?

That's an open ended question. Optimum ride height for what? Tracking? Auto-X? Daily driving? Efficiency? Downforce?

I'm looking to go as low as possible, while maintaining drivability (I live in New England and this is my DD), and trying to maximize the handling gains from the v1. I did search, but found a lot of info on camber, and spring rates. I purchased the v1s looking for an all around solution to looks / handling. I know there are better products out there for the die hards, but that's not me.
