I'm not going to get into the my mapper is better than yours argument but you might want to reconsider the phrase above and edit the term "motorhead" for "petrolhead" or similar.

In certain social classes and areas of the country a "motorhead" is a colloquial term for a drug dealer!
Lol, fair point. Was trying to avoid the petrolhead from a diesel pov.

If u have any genuine 'knowledge' yourself, you will come back with an informed reply. If not, then the whole forum will know who is talking rubbish.
cannot see any images,,and yeh ive bbeen working, gathering knowledge with 3 great tuners,,been doing it on odd days off,,,,i will write up what ive learned and still learning,,top tuners are still learning,,and also the shit dodgy tuners still learning although badly
I look forward to that. Perhaps you can name check your tuners or even get them to comment if they are on here. Im sure glen would like to know who is disrespecting his work too. As i said, need substance to what you are saying otherwise they are mickey mouse comments.

Lets not forget the point of this initial thread, suggestions on tuners.

BWchiptune - good rep / reviews - AGREED
Ecotune - good rep / reviews - AGREED

GBW/GKR - personally a good experience, good power gains and support.

DISAGREE WITH
Overall negative comments about GBW/GKR and asking for your evidence and proof, not just comments or hearsay.
I have shown my results, now its time to put some FACTS to your superior tuning knowledge. I look forward to my lesson.

Ahh fair enough haha I just read decent reviews else where, either way it drives better now anyway, before it felt like there was very little at low rpm but now it feels much smoother! I wasnít expecting the world anyway as itís a pre lci model without any other mods.

Glad you happy with your results, everyones goals are different but the feeling after having your car remapped makes you smile from ear to ear afterwards on the drive home!

In part, i agree @rasa_bmw that there are some tuners that under/over measure on their dynos to make their maps look better than the next. Its always good practice before taking your car to a tuner, to take it to a local dyno (with a good rep/motorsport background) to get a guide on your power graph. That way when you go to the tuner with a dyno, you will know whether their dyno is up or down.
Asking for comparison graphs and checking rev ranges will determine how accurate and improved the remap has been to your car.
There are lots of other factors in the refinement of maps but looking forward to hearing @rasa_bmw knowledge on the subject on this thread.

At the end of it all, thats why we pay the tuners.... they should carry the knowledge and know how but also retaining the safety of your vehicles long term health.

why? thats why a stock run on dyno is needed,,this way the dyno will read stock then tuned,,so if dyno reads anything over stock (280 ish) then that can be taken off the end tune result,,,,dyno we are using is spot on,,and because it has been calibrated correctly....my car made 280 stock,,,but seen some dyno's that read 300 bhp stock,,then the tuners reply will be....its got a shit map on it,,or ooohhh you got a healthy car there mate,,bullshit...

Looking forward to hearing your findings / write up but if you are going to be an agent in the future you might want to be careful disrespecting other tuners who you clearly have no experience with and are vastly more experienced than you at this stage. Reputation is everything and you bad mouthing other suppliers wont get you too far in the industry...
