Service light indicator

Hello All,

I have tried to reset my service light today with a snap on scan tool. I registered a new date on the oil service.

The snap on tool states reset complete. I put the key in ignition and the service light illuminates on the dash and CCC says service overdue. Can anyone shed any light on what is happening?

cheers

I wish it was that simple. I tried to reset it there first. Everything has reset however I still get the service light on the dash and service overdue on the idrive.

If you flick thru the service items on the cluster, the one flagging the error will be a different color.

Does the cluster give any error codes?

No fault codes on the dash. I can toggle through the dash and everything is reset, dates and mph &mpg.

I get a red car flashing on the cluster and on the idrive it says service overdue.
