wow cant wait to see your 1/4 mile time, have someone take a video of it for sure.

Hope you get a 9 second one, that would be amazing.

I hope your drive shaft does ok, as it seems like all your other components are upgraded. have to put in a solid flex disc?

Thought I'd post in here since I haven't in a while. I don't get on the forums really much but the car is still running great! I have almost 6000 miles on the setup so far running 36-38psi (made the 861whp at 36psi). Engine is still healthy with no signs of being hurt. (Just drove it today and ripped through the gears a few times). Nothing has broken/failed. Basically all I've had to do so far is change the oil and replace the plugs (developed a misfire on 3rd gear on).

I'm getting ready to take the car down to do some general maintenance (VC gasket, waterpump and t-stat, serpentine belt, etc) since it's getting ready to cross 70k miles. I'm also doing a few smaller mods, bigger intercooler from Motiv, bigger oil cooler, vacuum based PCV setup because the stock setup sucks, AD Engineering billet motor mounts, and Precision Raceworks LED halo upgrade for the headlights as well as paint the housings black. I'm also getting rid of the factory push lock style fitting for the HPFP feed line and tig'ing on a -6an fitting onto the metal feed line. The reason why is because the fitting has popped off 3 times now dumping fuel everywhere (thinking from engine movement) which luckily didn't catch fire or hurt anything.

I'm getting it ready for TX2K16 in March and I'm probably going to bump the boost up to 40psi for that week down there as well. I'll throw it on the dyno to see what it makes at that boost too. Should be north of 900whp. Whether it blows up or not down there I'm going to a built bottom end when I get back to get it ready for the huge car event here in June and push the thing over 1000whp.

From what i've been reading you're going to need to address your lpfp fueling method if you want to push the car much further than it already is. The hulk is running near it's limits.

Love all the upgrades coming! Are you doing the RB pcv system?? I'm doing a little preventative maintenance myself right now. Can't wait to see your car on those tx2k videos!

Oh and I did get 3 passes in at the track here before they closed for the season. They were merely shakedown passes and I turned the boost down to 32psi and didn't leave on 2-step or anything. I just wanted to see how the car launched on the Hoosiers. Anyway, I was hoping to see a 10sec pass but ran out of time. I ran a 12.0 the first pass at 135mph (wheel hopped really bad and had to get out of it on the launch), 11.5 at 137mph with a terrible 2.1 60' and 3rd pass I short shifted all the gears to try and get around the annoying shift bog but made it worse actually but ran an 11.1@134 with still a shitty 1.9 60'. I bogged hard on the launch because I wasn't leaving on power. Shift bog was the other big hindrance. My 1/8th mile was 7.4 at 104mph which is the 1/8th that you'd see with an 11.8 time typically. The car was picking up over 30mph in the back half so cleaning up the launch and tuning out the shift bog it's an easy 10sec car at only 32psi. Turned up all the way high 9's is easily doable with a clean pass.

Also, DR's suck on our car. I'm switching to a slick and skinny setup.

U got lucky with the push lock fitting. Mine popped off first drive out with new setup and toasted the car.

Oh damn! I'm sorry to hear. Toasted as in the car caught fire or leaned the motor out? Luckily all the times mine did it I was cruising at 30-40mph down a city street and the car shut off immediately except for the last time it happened. It was way back in August and I started smelling when I was driving to my shop and looked in the rear view and saw a trail of fluid so I killed the car and coasted into a parking lot.

Oh yeah I'll be changing a few things when it comes to that point one being due, another being the turbo, etc. Going off injector duty cycle, I have enough fuel right now on e85 for around 950whp. Either way I'll be increasing fuel supply when I push it further. I dont like running fuel systems to their limits but instead have a large cushion. Same with the motors that I build, I overbuild them to handle a lot more power than what I'll be making. For instance my MR2's engine I assembled I had all custom internals made to handle around 1500whp but I only plan on pushing it to 1100whp, etc.

Thanks! As for the PCV, I have a couple ideas in debating on trying. I'll post more on it when I finish it. But with either I'm going to bypass the factory system completely. Yeah Kyle has been really wanting to get video of my car on the street. He always tells me how much he loves the car. All 3 times he had his crew out to film it rained that night. So hopefully I'll the car will perform well and not blow up the first night lol.

More power in the works. Car is running and put a few good break in miles on it already. More details later.

haha yeah I'm still here! Just not a big forum poster anymore. Fighting a phantom knock issue but we have a solution now. It made 600whp on WG Spring and the DME pulling all the timing out so it's definitely healthy. Will be maxing the 6466 out (around 920whp) until my Syvecs arrives finally and probably going bigger and pushing it over 1000whp.

What happened with this car, does he finally found his motor's limit? Does he ever got to the track?

Interesting thread!!
