New Paddles

I'm looking to replace the steering wheel paddles to more traditional + and - paddles, is there a decent seller out there who just sell the paddles.

Or shall I just buy a M3 steering wheel altogether.

Not sure if it helps at all, but if you are after a more traditional pull on the right to go up, pull on the left to go down, that can be easily achieved by re-writing the left paddle.

Will save you hundreds, plus take about 5 minutes!

I just did this to my '90 e91 because I much preferred pulling the "+" on the right and "-" on the left, like my LCI e90. And not just the function but the tactile feel of the improved paddles versus the push/pull paddles. I found a used set of new-stye paddles on eBay and did the modifications to the circuit boards. I'm awful with a soldering iron but managed to get it done in about 30 minutes.

I was able to install them into the wheel without removing it from the steering column.

Note this is not plug and play without modifying the circuit boards on the paddles. This video probably my favorite, though he also modified a MT wheel to take paddles, which I did not need to do. Fast-forward to roughly the 30-minute mark to see how to modify the circuit boards. You got this:

Here is a video on removing the airbag:

Thanks for your advice but I know about the little mod to make one side shift up and the other side shift down, I'm looking to change the actual paddles to suit this mod.

Comparing the paddles to those posted in the N54 tech document, these look almost identical in terms of screw locations and connector. What's others thoughts?
