My car battery has been dying a slow death but still works. Earlier in the week I needed to boost it three times in one day. On that same day, my CCC and keyfob also stopped working. they stopped working after I restarted the car on that same day.

I'm thinking that boosting the car battery to get me going three times had something to do with it.

I did the reset on the CCC and that didn't do anything (reset: press both eject buttons and radio power button at same time).

The screen is stuck with the "BMW" logo although my iPhone still shows that it is still Bluetooth connected so something is still working.

Any idea where I should look? Is there a module that I should look for ? Any ideas??

First thing is to put a long slow full charge on it.
Measure the resting battery voltage and see how much it drops
overnight after putting a full slow charge on it.
Average life expectancy on a battery in these is 6 years.
The first time it required you to boost it you should have done this.
The IBS system in these cars begins turning stuff off that it
deems unnecessary to keep the car running one of which is the stereo.
Also you can get all kinds of false alarms and diagnostic
error's with a low battery.

I have talked to BMW techs and one the first things they do when
a car comes in is put it on charger.
Jumping only starts the car it does not fill the battery .

Also if you have added aftermarket stuff that exceeds the capacity of the
electrical system or prevents the car from going to sleep that could be
part of the problem.

My car does start and drives fine but the battery doesn't hold much of a charge. I haven't hooked up the stereo (Zapco amps, etc) yet so there hasn't been any additional draw on the battery. Just kinda weird that the CCC doesn't turn on or come to life.
Even with normal driving around, the CCC is dead.

You want to get the battery and any electrical issues out of the way
before you even think about doing anything else.
If the battery is good starts will be quick and instantaneous.
If it turns over a number of times then starts that is a relative
indication of a weak or failing battery .
Regardless get a Voltmeter and measure it.
This is a basic check you want to do every time for any purely non mechanical
issue.

So i got a new AGM battery and registered it using INPA. Solved the key fob issue as well. The battery in the key fob just needed a bit of solder and it works again.

But... my CCC is still not working. The "BMW" screen doesn't change and doesn't get the CCC working. Although, there were two instances where CCC did start up and was working fine, but when I turned the car off and back on, CCC was dead again.

I can still eject CD's and there is illumination on the face of the navigation and radio units, but that's all.

Maybe its time to get the parts to switch over to CIC?
