E90 active headrest

Hello,

so just recently I was offered with new M sport seats for my E90.
Reading through forums since my car is PRE-LCI and the seats are LCI, I assume issue will be the active headrest error.

How could I get rid of that?
Can it be done via phone?
Is it even safe to code it out?

Thank you in advance!

Yes you can code out the active headrests, you'll most likely throw an airbag light. You'll need ncs expert and a windows laptop with kdcan cable. You can also use protool by bimmergeeks on an android device but it's a bit more expensive than the ncs expert and kdcan cable route

No headrest coding is needed when swapping LCI into pre-lci. Swapping the headrests is also an option if the color matches.

I've never dealt with coding. I have the laptop however I don't have cable nor experience nor knowledge hah ...

And as disappointment, no one in my country would know how to code that out..
