Brake time 335 LCI

My brakes need to be done.
I’ve read through a few threads and it looks like the Zimmerman rotors are equivalent to OEM.

Are the Brembo’s any better?

I’m not looking for a BBK or the F30 M calipers (don’t think it’s worth it on an 11 year old car that isn’t tracked).

OEM rotors on BMW are ATE.
On M cars ATE or Brembo.
Zimmerman is aftermarket. Very good aftermarket product.

Zimmerman have been great for me on other BMWs. I personally don't have much faith in Brembo's OEM replacement products.

Ok, so it looks like the Zimmerman rotors.
And pads - are the Akebono ceramic a good choice to pair with them?
I like the idea of low dust.

I have Akebono ceramic on my M3 and they're great. Slightly less initial bite is worth it for infinitely less black dust. I also have a set for my E91 but haven't put them on yet.

I installed the Zimmerman/Akebono kit on the front of my E92 over a year ago and am happy with them. Funny, brake dust has become a thing of the past and the performance is the same as the OP installed.

Akebono will not have same performance. Akebono is quality product, but their focus on Euro market is to offer dustless product. I once had them and took them down in 2,000miles.
Jurid aftermarket (Jurid makes OE pad for E90) has less dust then pad they make for BMW, and still has very aggressive bite (not as aggressive as ATE, Pagid and Textar aftermarket but those also dust more).
I find Jurid good middle ground between ATE and Akebono. I personally prefer as aggressive bite as possible, but something to consider if you want still aggressive pad.

Low dust pads for the win. I'll never go back to OEM pads. The lower initial bite affects nothing.
