Just wondering, my E90 2010 model, has developed some rust on the Front Panel as shown in the pictures

I thought that panel was galvanised and other cars of same age, and older, seem to show no rust in that location, and wondered if I have a bigger issue somewhere that is causing it?

does anyone else have the same issue?

i will be treating this with Valcan to stop it, but wondered if I have another issue? I do not seem to be loosing any water so doubt its a radiator issue?

Yeh i've got spots of rust on that general area, just not as bad as yours. My guess is it gets pummeled by water and salt during winter months

Thanks, just wondered if it was normal. Like I say, I'll wire brush the thick and rust rust treat it and paint it
