You'll have fun, last time I went, my g/f and I both got some nice gifts from Lexus..btw, I'll show up to this since it's pretty close to my place

Do they set up a larger course with more straightaways and tighter turns?

That's the way the older Corvette Club autocrosses were (to take advantage of straight line acceleration).

And Alvin-- you or Sam thinking of getting another car?

When I went it was couple of years agao, it was set up pretty much like a Autocross with lots of tight turns. They had it at El Toro airbase and featured the ES300/IS300/Volvo S60/E46 330. After driving all of them I thought it was a bad idea for Lexus to have an E46, it highlight how bad the Es300 handle...

Well, their courses are set up pretty tight. There aren't straight aways long enough to get the cars to go past 40 before you have to do a hard brake to make the turns. I have gone to the GMC event where they let you get into a Z06 and gun it on about a 200 yard straight away. Of course, they have an "instructor" sitting in with you. Then, he tells you when to apply brake and gas to drift the turn... it's pretty neat. At the Lexus event, no such thing.

We wouldn't get another car unless it was a Toyota or Lexus. I would just get it through the employee pricing program.

You caught me... the jewelry district. Yup.... somebody save me.

Seems like the usual suspects are gonna be going. Where's Mac? Where's Puck? Dean? I think that the socalers stopped checking this thread because it has dried up over the last 3 months.

I'm guilty of it too.... but I thank Doc for giving me a ring.
