E90 steering rack mode of failure identified successfully

Hi guys, bittersweet feeling with this. Been chasing a steering rack popping noise and some play or wandering. Today I removed the inner tierod boot or cover and applied some torque one the 38mm bolt that secures the tierods. This was the result. Looks like the steering rack has a damaged internal bushing I guess. Column has no leaks and I really feel disappointed that probably this issue was a wide common problem

Video attached.

I wonder if it exist any type of rebuild kit. I have no fluid leaks so it amazes me how this much play is even possible
