Technically not a mod, but is a minor addition to the car, so adding it in here for the sake of completion

Vince, Shane and Joe put me onto this product

Basically a bracket that clips into the trim above the head unit to provide a solid base to attach various holders

The Ex series base is part No 653595 (see pic below)
Will need this, regardless of what phone holder you end up getting

The phone holder has a swivel, which basically you screw onto the base plate to attach it. For my S9 the part No is 711038

If you want to use the base with more then one holder, you need the quick release backing plate (multimoveclip) which is part No 215503

I have a HD BT digital audio player and found a holder that works with the unit. The player just slides into the holder slot and is rock solid.

Pics below

Pics 1 & 2 - E9X base plate
Pic 3 - Base plate and holders
Pic 4- If use need to swap out holders, you need the multimoveclip
Pic 5 - MMC attached to base plate
Pic 6 - Holder slides and clicks to lock, Press button and slide up to release
Pics 7 to 9 - Mounted in car
Hey Phil, I have an S9 as well and was considering getting one of these from your post. However, do you have a case on your phone or do you rock it without? I assume the phone holder bracket only works without a case?

Thanks Coupes,

Yeh, I've been rocking these for a while now

Actually here are some pics from 2015, when I got my first set of AFF-1s

Spcgry still had silver trim, m3 boot lip and stock tail lights #memories

Hi Socks
How are the bimmerlife coils? would you do them now if you were looking to upgrade coils?

Thought I'd ask publically so others could also hear the answer

Hey Hops

Have been running the Bimmer Life coils for over 12 months and so far so good

Performance wise, definitely better then stock

Mine have been modded (rubber sleeve removed etc) because they don't seat properly as supplied

The only other complaint I have with the BL coils is the poor quality of the 3d printed connectors and harness

It is fine if you plug them in and leave them be, but I'm dreading the day I have to unplug them, because the connectors are likely to fall apart

Hope this helps

Got the chance this Saturday to hang out with Tim Murray, Vince and the Eastern BM team (Jin, Nathan and Tim) while Tim did another round of flex fuel tuning on spcgry

Best result we got was 383kw with 12 degrees of timing and 19 psi boost on E70

Did not crack the 400 mark, but happy with the result given we are boost limited 19 until we fix the wastegate clamping problem

Also, while we still have more fuel flow in reserve, we did not have access to anything stronger then E70

Will need to put it back on the dyno when we can get some E85 with 85% ethanol to finish the top end of the map

Big thanks to Jin and the Eastern BM team, Vince for his testing driving and of course Tim Murray for giving up his saturday, to come down and do the tune

Amazingly talented tuner and a great guy as well

As always pics (and vid) below

Thanks Brule

Its not a monster tire shredder like ur car mate, but for a engine with stock internals and overboosted fuel pump, i'm pretty happy with the results so far
