Exposed intercooler

Hey guys, I’m sure this question has been answered on the forum before, but want to get more details. I want to expose my intercooler by taking the mesh off. Is it advisable to do this? If not, is there another way to show off intercooler? My intention is to show it off, not for extra airflow or any of that. Any ideas/suggestions?

The alternative might be to bring the intercooler to a high polish?

I do not think I will fully expose the intercooler because of rock chips and all on the roads. There is still some protection. If I go with getting the m3 or m tech bumper, will it pronounce the intercooler more? I think that because of the bigger mesh, the light might just show the intercooler as is. What's all of your thoughts on that?

We don't recommend it as it offers protection the the intercooler from debris. You'll see an increase in damage to the fin pack and worst case rocks could puncture it.

Depends.. Which FMIC are you running? 5", looks stock with Mtech. 7" would show more. I wouldn't run w/o the mesh though..

The deeper the intercooler the closer it is to the front bumper opening, and the more visible it is. If you cut the air guide out of the bottom of the front end support and have a 7" intercooler, its pretty visible in the opening. I wouldnt take the mesh out.

Don't forget to throw some sticker arrows to point out the FMIC.
