Replaced radiator, all cooling hoses, valve cover gasket, plugs, coils.
If you replace your radiator I recommend just purchase new hoses to go along with it. Reusing the old ones doesn't seem to create a good seal and seems to leak. That or I'm just unlucky and my car just loves taking my money. |

Which hoses did you end up buying? I only swapped the hose from radiator to heater exchange, but I swapped out the mini o ring on the driver side lower radiator hose. |

Not sure with the drain plug. I let my mechanic friend deal with that.
My car is getting old so it was about time I replaced them all just in case. The ends of the hoses looked deteriorated. |

Doesn't smoke driving normally (then again I still have the secondary CATs in place).
If I rev it hard in P/N then I'll get smoke shooting out and the smoke smells like oil...

Took out my e46 M3 transmission mounts and replaced them with UUC black isolated mounts.
Nothing wrong with the M3 mounts, just had an ECS tuning order and threw these ones in to try out. Can see the E46 moutns are hourglass shaped while the UUC ones are cylinderical. Build quality of the new mounts is average at best comapred to OEM, but at least these ones are properly isolated unlike the previous UUC mounts which basicially had a bolt running all the way through the rubber internally. Wasn't expecting any difference but have felt that the gearshift feels more solid, would probably feel like a massive difference from stock. NVH is fine, cannot really tell much difference in noise from before, could be slightly louder but its so minor its a non issue.

Realised how much better the car drives with guide rods installed the correct way around, finally got to drive it for abit after taking it back to the shop to get fixed yesterday.
Big thanks to vtl for spotting the shops mistake from an old photo of my car. |

Bit of TLC this weekend
Hi all,
I am actually a new comer to the forum! I have an E92 335i Coupe (pretty recent addition), having run 320 and 330 E46's for a decent amount of time in the past. Spent Saturday finally getting around to giving the car some cosmetic TLC, quite impressed with the Meguiars products and results; |

I washed mine and found some fresh tarmac tar stuck in the rear right wheel arch after driving through a renewed road. I googled for removal of tar and cleaning procedure without damaging the paint on the wheel arch and oh my gosh, google was so correct. WD40 is your best friend when it comes to removing road tar. It came off so easily, it took me only a few swipes. The key is to spray it on, wait 10 seconds and then wipe off with microfibre cloth. Worked like a dream and looked cleaner than ever. Definitely recommend anyone to try it for cleaning the inside of the wheel arches. Made that rubber cover look brand new so I did the other side as well.

If it moves and it's not meant to... duck tape lol Because the wd40 is an oil it will become dusty if you wipe it on to the inner wheel guards eventually but I do like the renewed wet look lol
