Well my search for a massively specced M140i or M240i is not going well, I really want a sunroof, adaptive suspension & electric seats and this would appear to be the unicorn combination. It's so bad that I'm even looking at M2's & M4 coupes now but that just seems like madness.

Just like your E91, it’s worth waiting for the correct spec. Have you asked directly on the M140i groups? Someone may be looking to sell soon?

This a good idea, and if you're desperate for a unicorn then you probably need to be comfortable to pay a little over the top for it... To hold my high-spec E91 I offered the seller over his asking price and gave him £500 deposit over the phone without seeing it. Sounds a bit crazy but it worked out well thankfully.

What’s your E91 spec? And what it cost you? DM if you’d rather not say in public, but I’m always watching the E91 35i market

Mine is just a lowly N53 3.0 325i

Spec is auto M Sport, Pan roof, heated elec seats, BT, front and rear PDC, iDrive, elec folding mirrors, high beam assist/adaptive xenons, climate screen... think that's most of it... Think the only thing I'd have liked is a sound upgrade as the standard system is totally average.

I felt a 335i was just overkill for my needs but every now and then I do think "maybe I should have..."!

Ah fair play, it’s very hard to find decent spec cars, and even harder if you’ve set your heart on a particular model like 30i 35i etc

Yep. I was after a 330i but kept an eye on 335is too, then added 325i's to the list as I just couldn't find what I wanted. Buying a nice, well-equipped estate has been the most difficult car for me to buy ever. I guess the demand is that much greater than for say a 2 seater or coupe sports cars which I had been in for the previous 15 years...

This car keeps changing hands - albeit for more money each time though 😄

Always seems a shame when a really good example keeps getting more owners on the V5…

Still a lovely example.
