Guys
Right now the sedan is not getting another hood - you already got one!

I highly suggest putting down deposits on this coupe hood guys... there will be a HUGE backorder after bimmerfest. When people see this hood the deposits will start flowing in!

There is already a powerdome design out for the e92 just with no vents. But the whole point of this hood was because people wanted a hood with no powerdome.

Like l4wr3nc3 said, the power dome version is already out. This new hood was designed by you guys- vents, center vent and no dome

DVWP is just a fancy name for plastic so it does not look like CF. It was ment to be painted or else all you have is primer on there.

That's correct, but it's not just a fancy name.

It means Dry Vacuum Woven Plastic... which means it's strong and fits well

it depends on the paint scheme you are going for ... previously Vorsteiner offered the vented hoods with CF for just the vented parts and the rest of the hood would be DVWP which means you intend to paint all of the hood and leave the vents unpainted ... if you are planning to paint the whole hood i would go with a full DVWP ... if you want the hood to remain CF or plan to matte the CF then i would go full CF hood

just messing around to see how im gonna make this match with TiAg

here's a quick photoshop
let me know what you think.. yes or no?

just trying to find a way to expose the carbon fiber a little bit without killing the look of the car.

let me know if you guys have any other better solutions... im thinking i might just have the whole thing painted and leaving the vents CF

What about the opposite paint scheme and match it with a carbon fiber roof and trunk!

not sure what your experience with carbonfiber but from my own experience whenever I paint over carbonfiber over time the paint will warp and only solution i can find is to repaint it over again. therefore from my experience i'm going expose as much carbonfiber as i can and not have to deal with it. if anyone else has a better experience or a explaination i would love to hear this. but for the mean time i'm going with less paint.

Paint the sides and leave the center unpainted CF. Then buy the M3 CF roof... Then it looks perfect, decreases intake temps, shaves weight and lowers center of gravity.

to replace to a m3 cf roof will be very expensive not worth it.
