Looks a lot like aluminum trim in the pics, pretty cool. I did the same thing to my trim except I used alcantara.

how thick is the wrap?? I dunno, I'd be afraid of ripping it or have someone poke a hole in it on accident and then it'd be like a sticker peeling off

LETS see some PICS!!!! I have never seen this but would be cool. I can do trim in alcantara also but have not gotten a customer request for it YET. Good job man.

??? It looks exactly like the OEM aluminum BMW trim except a different shade. Making it unique and he can honestly say that NO ONE else has it.

The aluminum wrap is a little on the thick side making it extremely hard to work with. I believe it's 1mm as compared to my Carbon Fiber vinyl fabric is only .70mm in thickness estimated. There is NOTHING to be afraid of all the materials I use are for AUTOMOTIVE use and can be used for seats so my material fabric is extremely strong. Also even if it does get poked, it would NOT peel like a sticker because it is glued entirely with heavy duty industrial automotive glue cement. PLUS I give all my materials and workmanship 3 year warranty against, fading, peeling, and or cracking.

I had a thread about it a few months, no one really liked it but the pics make it look much lighter than it is, it's really a dark charcoal color, they really don't do it justice.

Heres the actual color:

Wow that looks super nice. I can appreciate the works since I know how hard it is to perform. I know what you mean about the color looking lighter in the pics, same with Michaels Aluminum vinyl fabric, it's actually darker than in these pictures. I think it's do to the flash of the camera. Great work man. I also have alcantara suede here at my shop but had not had the pleasure to wrap some trim in it. Got any more pics? Please email them to me @ Richy@********MotorSport.com

Do you mind if I use your pics in my upcoming web site?

I still haven't finished doing the the center console, my car is non i drive and the extra trim I had was for an i drive car, so I'm waiting on the m3 storage tray from Tischer. Once I get it finished I'll make sure to get some good pics over to you. I'm not sure how the ash try cover is going to work out, I may just end up painting it the rubberized black color, similar to some of the trim in the car.

I think the two pieces should be the same except the iDrive section all you have to do is swap it out, right? The ASH tray door is extremely difficult and a PITA. If you want send it over to me with the center console and I will do it for you. I don't think it will look good painted black. Your entire trim should match up with the alcantara you have. Let me know.

Hello nuxted, I have that same exact knob in stock ready to ship. Let me know if you need some help ordering. In regards to the button, once you take your OEM shift knob off (just pull UP on it hard) then that button gets disabled. Then you can put the shift knob on it and you are ready to go.

Yep the trim is the same, and I have the large piece covered already. I'm just waiting for a new tray that fits in the i drive hole from the M. My ashtray is already painted black because that's how I bought it, but its not the best paint job, so I'll see if it looks good, if not I'll cover it.
