They are intense, so it is hard to answer that. I think they are much more noticeable.

very comprehensive review. I will probably look into the LED sidemarkers and reverse lights now.

as for the pictures, it's hard capturing the true color of the interior LED kit, so for those wondering, it's a pure white color in person.

Do the side markers blink in synchronized with the rear and front turn signals when on?

It's weird that the rear turn signal LED's still throw an error code on each start-up even when using load resistors. I wonder if it's better to wire a lower wattage regular bulb in parallel with the LED ones and in stead of the load resistors. Will give that a shot this weekend perhaps ...

I thought of doing the same thing. Here is my opinion, the ground for the rear turn signal is a shared ground and I wonder if this could cause the load resistor to still give a startup error.

I'll have to check what load resistor values I used (got them from jlevi) , perhaps they were the wrong ones.
Seems stock 1156 bulb is 26 WATTS, which means roughly 2 AMPS at 12V, so resistance used should be 6 OHMs.

I saw some 6 OHM 50 WATT load resistors here

What do you think about the shared ground?

I don't see an issue with shared ground.. on a car the whole chassis is ground and electronics tap into it left and right. Though I don't know the whole mechanism how the 'check lights' is done, it is indeed peculiar, it must measure the current to each bulb otherwise we could 'fake' there being a bulb much easier ...

are the reverse lights brighter than the stock bulbs? I can't see jack with the stock bulbs.
