Question about de-badging: I just ordered a new e92 to replace my old 328 that I sold last year. I like the look of de-badging, however I'm wondering how tricky/expensive/pain in the rear it is to put a badge back on when it is time for resale...I know that's a few years down the road, but I'm anal and spend too much time thinking about these things (I'm operating on the assumption that it is probably easier to sell a badged car, as a buyer might hesitate when they roll up on vehicle they're looking to buy and its badgeless).

I've debadged my fridge accidentally...looks totally cool that no one knows it's a Whirlpool.

Debadged my microwave once and replaced it with a Fisher Price "badge" that was "debadged" off my son's FP lawnmower.

I plan to debadge every badged item I own and live in that anonymous world of WTFII ["What the F**K is It?"]

I have a saphire black 335i coupe coming in the next couple of weeks. I really like how clean the back end looks de-badged. I think the debadging adds to the mystery of the car as well. People will think " What kind of BMW is that, I have never seen that coupe before?" Then you drive by and they are looking for the badge and nothing, stealth... I love it, keep them wondering. Of course for those in the know, they just can look at the dual exhaust to see it is the twin turbo and not a 328i wanting to be a 335i. Bottom line, I love how clean the car looks in the pictures...I'm debadging my 335i!

Even though I had a 335 I would like to remove it anyway since a clean look makes a "sexy back" on E90

Debadging the emblems are easier, if you do it right after you get your car.

First, use the soft plastic or strings for fishing to take off the emblem. When you do this, you gotta be really careful, it might give you the scratches on your trunk.
Just take off the top part first and then just use your fingers to pull it off.

After you take off the emblem, use hair dryer, or heat gun to take off the left over double sided tape behind the emblem. Just heat it up a little bit, and then rub it off.

After finish these two steps, use wax or something like that to clean the spot.
When you do this, better to use micro-fiber clothes, or you can scratch the paint while you’re cleaning it.

It's cake. Use double-sided tape, the same way it was attached originally.
