Nitto 555 comments?

Any comments for the Nitto 555. They seem to be sliding a little bit n wet rainy roads.

Worst tires I have EVER had in my entire life. They were so dangerous on my Evo in the wet that they should be down right illegal. I'm not kidding in the slightest.

I think you just answered your own question.

No personal experience. My friend has them on his Mercedes. I remember him saying that he experienced quite a bit of hydroplanning...

I had them on my E36...Its seems like a good tire but rain its a little slippery..I don't like them all that much because at the bead where it meets the rim, it doesn't give too much rim protection! Once mounted its flushed against the seam of the rim whereas my pirelli's there is about 3cm of rubber sticking

Definitely no good in the wet. It was a bit unerving going around turns on the freeway when it was raining pretty good. Felt like the car was on the brink of losing control at times. The guy at the tire store said he had heard many of the same comments. In the dry they are quite nice, lol.

I thought it was just me because i was wondering why my car was sliding a bit during the rain while making a quick over taking on another car.

I have 275 on the rear which is already wide and my rear was sliding.

Be very careful in the wet you guys that have these tires. I ended up hydroplaning and wrecking on the interstate in my Evo at 30 mph in light rain due to these tires.
