Gary ! TR Motorsports MT1s ?????
Anyone know of this company ? I know its NOT Turner Motorsports. Anyone seen these ? Gary, how is the quality of these wheels ? Great price, size and offsets for our car. Good set of track beaters and nice enough for full time use as well. I'm really thinking of buying these and test out the new Bridgestone REO1Rs on em. kj ONCE I GET MY DAMN CAR BACK THAT IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

You gonna run 245s ? I have 235s on my 18x8 fronts now. Not a big fan of spacers. I'm soooo jonesin' for a track day....... once I get my damn car back that is. Simple 10 spoke wheel. Not a knock off. HRE, DPE and others make em too. Cast, just like an OZ too. Just a thought...... |

The TRMotorsports are 1 Pc. Gravity Cast w/ MAT Technology (not sure what MAT Technology is - I can't find a website for them anywhere). This is the most basic process of pouring molten aluminum into a mold utilizing the earth's gravity to fill the mold. Gravity casting offers a very reasonable production cost and is a good method for casting designs that are more visually oriented or when reducing weight is not a primary concern. Since the process relies on gravity to fill the mold, the aluminum is not as densely packed in the mold as some other casting processes. Often gravity cast wheels will have a higher weight to achieve the required strength. The OZ Ultraleggera uses low pressure casting/shot peened (for added strength) uses positive pressure to move the molten aluminum into the mold quicker and achieve a finished product that has improved mechanical properties (more dense) over a gravity cast wheel. Low-pressure casting has a slightly higher production cost over gravity casting. Low pressure is the most common process approved for aluminum wheels sold to the O.E.M. market. Low-pressure cast wheels offer a good value for the aftermarket as well. Some companies offer wheels that are produced under a higher pressure in special casting equipment to create a wheel that is lighter and stronger than a wheel produced in low pressure. Once again in the quest for lighter weight, there is a higher cost associated with the process.

1pc Cast wheels made in Japan to JWL certification, heat treated, with MAT Technology. Actually a very nicely made wheel.
I can't say who makes them for us but if you google "MAT wheel techology" you'll have a pretty good idea. Wheels http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AH8&...eels/index.jsp

Yep Enkei makes them ... its like a modified version of the NTO3+M .... the NTO3+M are GREAT track wheels. They are what I ran on my old evo and never had a problem with them. Enkei makes great quality wheels and actually is one of the largest OEM wheel providers.

Those are very good track wheels but it would be nicer if the fron rim was wider. You can still get by though.
