Airbag Lights On All Of A Sudden

2009 335i sedan

For no apparent reason a red airbag light where the yellow snowflake usually appears is on and in the cluster of smaller lights above I have another airbag and a seat belt light lit up. Constant now when there is nothing on the seat and when someone is sitting in the seat

Any ideas????? Do I have to bring it in for service?

Take it to the dealer, the light is most likely on because of a faulty seat mat sensor.

Viper is right. Mine is at the dealership right now since last Tuesday. I'll get it back tomorrow.

Thanks guys. I just scheduled at my dealer. Sucks that I do not live closer to the dealer. This is going to be two days shot.

It took mine 6 days. They didn't have the part and then they had reprogram my computer which was great because I now have the latest version and my iDrive really needed it.
